“ Traditional atmosphere and nostalgic feelings.. Me, my family and friends from across the globe love to be there always... but recently felt some items needs to be improved and needs quality check before presenting to the table..hope they are careful in maintaining reputation as always! ”
“ We were recommended this restaurant and it did not disappoint The food was delicious and the service was very good. Quite a busy place but waiting times for meals was good. I would recommend this restaurant. Peter Cat is ranked the 10th most iconic food places in the world by tasteatlas.com with the chelo kebab being its signature dish. A must visit for us while in Kolkata, this time we did not find it as great as earlier.Delicious food awesome taste. Nice Ambience.. Well Behaved Staff.. Good atmosphere for family and friends. Its a very popular restaurant with people waiting outside. ”
“ I recently visited Peter Cat, the food was outstanding, I will rate 1010. The atmosphere was very calm and refreshing. We tried Chelo Kabab and Grilled Chicken Sizzler both were delicious Also tasted Peter Cat special icecream which was also perfect, made of fruits, vanilla, strawberry.Price is okey. ”
“ I went to try their famous chelo kebab and honestly expected it to be a bit of a letdown places like this often trade on past glories and get lazy. But that absolutely wasnt the case here. I ordered mutton chelo kebab and it was superb beautifully tender kebabs with lots of flavour, and matched so well with the egg and buttery rice. It was so good I ordered a chicken irani kebab as well.Very good service, a stylish and comfortable interior obviously you pay a bit more for that but it was worth every penny. ”
“ A heritage spot in Calcutta.Peter Cat has been synonymous with Park Street for what feels like forever. Its rich legacy is evident in the insane queues and long waiting times outside the restaurant every evening. Even on a weekday, I had to wait 20 minutes to get a table. The food lived up to its reputation. I started with the Makhmali Fish Tikka, which I highly recommendthe fish was tender, juicy, and full of flavor. Next, I tried both the chicken and mutton Chelo Kebabs platters. The mutton platter was the clear winner, with soft, flavorful pieces of mutton that were simply delicious. The chicken kebab, however, was a bit disappointingit felt stiff and dry. Unfortunately, the seekh kebab DIDNT stand out either, as it was hard and dry, which I didnt enjoy. On the other hand, the buttery rice with egg paired wonderfully with the meats. If youre visiting, the Chelo Kebabs platter should be tried, though I do think the tenderness of the seekh kebab can be improved. The service was quick and professional, which added to the experience. Despite its fame, the prices remain quite reasonable. However, the restaurant has tried to maximize its floor space by cramming in as many tables as possible. Combined with the high number of guests and servers during the evenings, it can feel a bit chaotic. While not a dealbreaker, its something one should be aware of.Overall, Peter Cat is worth a visit for its iconic kebabs and legacy, even if some elements of the experience could be refined and made better. ”
